Grade Point Average (GPA) Calculator

Purpose

You may use this calculator to determine what your term GPA could be for a term in which grades have not been given. You need to project your anticipated grades. This calculator may also be useful for determining a cumulative GPA for a specific set of courses; for example, all courses within a department or major.

How to use this calculator

To calculate a GPA from individual course grades, enter in the credit value of each course in the first column and the letter grade (e.g., A-, C+) in the second column.  The calculator will automatically figure grade points for you.  After you have entered all the courses you wish to calculate the GPA for, simply click on the 'Compute' button in the bottom row.

The GPA Calculator is brought to you by Tom O'Brien of the UC Berkeley Academic Achievement Division. Individuals and organizations may freely copy and use the GPA Calculator script as long as proper credit is included.
